Automate pricing going straight to minimum price
Have been using automate pricing for a long time but have noticed in the last year or so that automate pricing sometimes goes straight to the minimum price. e.g. just added 1 item today to it and set at £39.99 max and £35.99 min but it has gone straight to the min price of £35.99 despite the next cheapest being £45.99 (with the same postage as this is another of my items just listed which has also done the same thing). Is this a known fault of auto pricing?

I don’t think this is fault, I think it’s by design.
It’s uncanny how many times these ‘glitches’ work in a way that favours Amazon’s objectives. So far from what I’ve seen it’s a 100% track record… so there’s definately something very -y going on.

Thanks. It was working fine for ages and still does for most of my listings (I think). Bit of a waste of time using it if it does this as may as well just list the item at the minimum price. Will see if anyone else has had the same problem.

I would guess that someone else on the listing is also set for automated pricing at a level that’s requiring your minimum price to be used in order to be the lowest offer.

That is the effect it is happening but if that’s the case, why doesn’t their listing show up for sale for me to see it?
