Problems reviewing country and business type
Hi,
Wondering if anyone here can help. We received a notification of our account having been deactivated due to an “unknown person” being selected as a beneficial owner of the business - now we’ve submitted ID documents and proof of address etc to verify our beneficial owners so would’ve thought that would’ve sorted it, but in the ID info it still keeps repeatedly asking us to “review our country of establishment and business type.”
Every time I try to select the right options (which were selected to begin with, as it’s not like we’ve suddenly stopped being in the UK and a privately owned business) it keep re-asking and re-asking and not reacting to submissions at all - have any of you encountered this issue?
We’re also struggling to get any help from Amazon on this as every time we open a support case we get an automated email full of links unrelated to the issue and then the case gets closed. Have you had any success in getting in touch with an actual human at Amazon seller support?
Any help or advice would be very welcome!

But you were originally registered in England, with a single director also in England and have recently changed to a registered address in Wales with a new director also in Wales. It’s possible that Amazon are confused - it’s American-based, after all, and they do have problems distinguishing Great Britain, UK, England, Wales, Scotland etc. Americans are notorious for referring to “Edinburgh, Scotland, England” or, even worse, “Edinburgh, England”!
Afraid you will have great difficulty getting through to a human at SS but can only keep trying to get past the bots

Re the documents, have you tried uploading the latest confirmation statement (CS1) from Companies House, which does show the current shareholdings?

OK, some updates: We submitted the Letter of Authorisation but now received a notification complaining that the primary contact doesn’t match public records and that we have selected an unknown person as the beneficial owner.
I’ve tried to remove them as beneficial owner in identity information, but couldn’t as it kept re-ticking the box. They are also the primary contact, could that be the reason why I can’t deselect them as beneficial owner? How do we change primary contact and remove someone as a beneficial owner?
Also, it’s still complaining about having to review the country and business type and there are no other suitable options other than UK and Privately owned, so I don’t understand what else we could choose but it keeps re-asking?

there were several transfer of shares in September as well as a resignation leaving one person as Director (KB) and a company with a 10% share TOP Group
Is KB named as the Primary person on your amazon account ?

Ok thanks, we’ve changed the primary contact details - it still keeps complaining about the original issue though which was “review country of establishment and business type” and keep re-asking again and again, what can we do to solve this? I don’t understand why it can’t accept UK and privately owned business as the answer as that’s the only applicable one for us?
