Read onlyHello everyone,
I own the trademark for my brand in the UK and recently tried to enroll it in Amazon's UK Brand Registry. However, my application was rejected because the same brand is registered in the USA with a US trademark. From my understanding, UK law should protect my trademark within the UK, regardless of any foreign registrations.
I’m a bit confused about how Amazon can prioritize a US-based brand registry for a UK trademark. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? Would it make sense to hire an IP lawyer, or are there alternative steps I should take within Amazon's framework?
I would love to hear from anyone who has dealt with this type of situation or can offer advice on the best course of action.
Thank you in advance for any insights!
