Drop Shippers or Leave Amazon?

As we all know (who have lost money) its a hot topic
just thought id post this

This is after after i reported the drop shipper with none INR

Dear Seller,
Greetings from Amazon Seller Support,
My name is Hemraj. I am the associate who would be assisting you today with your query.
As per your email, I understand that your concern is regarding two Order ID’s: in which the buyer do not want the invoice along with the product as it’s a gift.
In regards, I would like to inform you that you can ask buyer to cancel the order and then he can re-order again.
At the time of placing a new order inform the buyer to select the “GIFT WRAP” option.
Once he will select the option of gift wrap then, the invoice will not be included inside the product as it will be a gift.

We have updated our method of dealing with these orders - when the message is sent as below we report the order to seller support in order to log a case and then to seller performance team.
We then send this message to the dropshipper

Please be advised that we will be including the full order information as required by Amazon. This order is not a gift. You are a known dropship merchant who is copying our Amazon listings on other internet sites at a higher price and when you make a sale you place the order with us on our Amazon site and send a false message to us namely

Hi Seller,

Thanks for taking my order,
Please remove the invoice of this item and ship it without a price tag as this item is a gift.

Also, please ship it as soon as possible.

5 star feedback promised for a successful transaction

Thanks.

You have no trade agreement with us and never will have - we do not allow dropship orders and without exception report every case to Amazon Seller Support and also to the Amazon Seller Performance team. This order has been so reported. Seller Performance sent us this message so either accept that the order will be sent with the full order details including the price you paid us or ask us to cancel the sale prior to despatch or you could just cancel the sale yourself prior to Amazon sending the despatch email.

Below is the Amazon instruction we are acting on

With regards to the order, kindly note that the metrics would be impacted if you are cancelling the order. Therefore I request you to communicate with the buyer through Buyer Seller messaging system and inform them that you would be shipping the product with the necessary order documents as advised by Amazon. Kindly ask the buyer to cancel the order from the their end if he/she does not agree with the marketplace rules.

Regards

This seems to be having the desired effect as the previous batch reported this way cancelled the orders very quickly.
Also Amazon have pointed out that the details are also passed on to Amazon buyer performance team in order that this team can investigate and contact the dropship buyer of the correct procedure and policy for placing orders on Amazon.
If Amazon sellers who do not want to fulfill dropship orders keep reporting them we might - just might see a decline in this type of sale. For those sellers that think a sale is a sale and so better than no sale that is your choice as it is our choice to not accept this type of sale.

Happy Easter to all

Having been ‘Hit’ 4 times already this Easter with orders from Drop shippers (over £300.00)
i wonder if there are any thoughts on these points

  1. Is Amazon complicit in fraud by not doing diligent checks on purchases (name to address,id) ? when they open an
    account
also by not putting in a easy straight forward reporting system for sellers to use

  2. Is Ebay complicit in fraud by allowing known sellers who have been reported to them to remain on their site ?

I think we all have a list, but to name a few

Drop Shipping Policy
Drop shipping, or allowing a third party to fulfil orders to customers on your behalf, is generally acceptable. If you intend to fulfil orders using a drop shipper you must always:

be the seller of record of your products;
identify yourself as the seller of your products on all package slips and other information included or provided in connection with them;
be responsible for accepting and processing customer returns of your products; and
comply with all other terms of your seller agreement and applicable Amazon policies.

Examples of drop shipping that are not permitted:

purchasing products from another online retailer and having that retailer shipping directly to customers; or
shipping orders with packing slips, invoices or other information indicating a seller name or contact information other than your own.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the suspension or removal of your selling privileges."

The policy implies that sellers use drop-shipper rather than the other way round. Amazon intelligently still makes the seller responsible. In a way it is good because sellers could fulfil the order without taking on the drop-shipper instructions. I don’t know what is stopping anyone including invoices in all orders!

I also don’t think that amazon would allow any seller to just be dismissive about claims and blame ‘a drop-shipper’. Clearly amazon sees all customers equally, and rightly so. It seems to be fast becoming a habit of blaming ‘a drop-shipper’ for all orders going wrong.

There is no EVIDENCE that a customer is a drop-shipper. There is no EVIDENCE that seller performance would favour a seller against drop-shipper or remove feedback on that account. Claiming otherwise is just propaganda and it will only turn out to be counter-productive with more reasons for seller performance scrutiny of seller trading behaviors, imo.

I think the Russians have infiltrated the forum and are feeding fake news and trying to destabilise the status quo.

If you know what I mean!

I have spoken to eBay Concierge about this subject recently, citing whats happening in Australia. They said they would like the Dropshippers off eBay.co.uk but current laws allow them to sell. There’s noting they can do. Hopefully the new ‘ebay grouped search’ results mean only one seller (the cheapest) gets the lions share of the sales via dropshipped items and that means that over time the lion’s share of them will not make money and come out of the market.

The question is that, does Amazon really care about dropshpiers and the consequences of sellers suffering as amazon achieve high sales and free advertising as buyers receive the items in amazon boxes. Dropshpiers can be easily tracked by Amazon because of their high buy volume. However amazon never take any serious action and sellers pay for the consequences.
How come a genuine prime buyer buys hundreds of items , most of the orders are for repeated items every month without trigger any concerns to Amazon.
Why amazon sellers has to do amazon’s job of tracking dropshpier.
