So we have a product that has a brand but no barcodes that when trying to add a new listing states 'Brand Authorisation Required: The ability to create or edit ASINs using this brand name is restricted to authorised sellers. You need to apply for approval to add or modify products for this brand.'

On the initial listing page we have indicated the brand and under External Product ID have ticked 'I don't have a product ID'

There is an apply to sell button. We click it.

It then advises us to upload the product information and then photos. The photos need to show a UPC. No matter what we do, amazon are now insisting that to get brand approval, we need to show a product with a barcode.

Anyone else getting this issue?

I want to get authorisation from Amazon to sell a brand. I have authorisation from the manufacturer but am unsure how I should go about this on Amazon.

The brand already exists on Amazon, and so I don't wish to enrol a new brand as such. I just need the authorisation to sell this brand.

How do I go about doing this?

We are using our company name as the brand. We have a logo printed on product labels that includes our brand name. But Amazon doesn't approve the brand saying it is a restricted brand. So we can't list the products on Amazon.

We are a fresh company, started selling 1 week ago. So the restriction can't be about us.

Is it impossible to sell on Amazon for us? Is there any way to lift that restriction?
