HELP ANYONE WITH HALIFAX - Certified Bank Letter Requested

Hi team,

I am close to tears on this and don’t know what to do.

Amazon have decided this year to request a Certified Bank Letter from me with the following information:

– A scanned copy of a certified bank letter for the primary contact person for the disbursement account . The document must meet all the criteria listed below:

  • Dated within the last 180 days.
  • Signed or stamped by the bank.
  • Shows the bank name or logo.
  • Shows the account holder’s name, residential address, and bank account number.

I bank with Halifax here in the UK and the ONLY letter they are able to generate for me is a Bank Statement. I even went into Branch to request a letter, all they could do was generate a Bank Statement for me and stamp it.

Amazon are still refusing to accept this - so now I am at a complete empass! I am unable to make any disbursements which is crippling me, I have raised a ticket with Amazon, tried emailing the verification team but to no avail. I am completely out of options.

Has anyone else who potentially banks with Halifax, or a similar bank that apparently only sends Bank Statements as letters, been able to work out what to ask for or find a way around it?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Luke

Are you ST or ltd company ?

Is it your business bank account if ST or personal that you are using
Or are they asking for personal if Ltd ?

Just a thought but those sort of things are usually sent (not just by amazon) when the bank account is owned by someone else and permission is needed for the person operating the account. I wonder if anything has happened where your down as a limited company or even a limited company that has the same name as you.
