Listing removed - Restricted Products Policy Violation
Hi all,
Ive had a tshirt removed for “Restricted Products Policy Violation”. The tshirt and the listing read “cute but psycho cat tshirt”
I was told to remove any existing listings for this including already taken down ones! (huh). So i went to my inventory and removed the lot, about 120 variations (size, colour etc).
I have raised a case asking what the violation is because there are plenty of other sellers with the same listing credentials albeit for hoodies, tees and so on. I keep getting replies that this matter is being sent to the proper department for an explanation but still no credible reason as to why it was removed. So today, even though i removed the listings days ago, i got 120 strikes on my health even though they were removed days ago! I even called CS but they said they cant answer!
Anyone else had this? I have 100’s of listings for tshirts and im afraid that more might be in breach…but in breach of what? All my listings adhere to AZ’s guidelines, i dont spam with “best seller” or use ***********:@><?+_ characters except for a hyphen (-) of which AZ said to use!!!
anyone?

That’ll be the “cat” comment
Cats have fur, and fur is a prohibited item on Amazon
I’m quite serious,btw
The bots will have picked up on the cat reference and that is the reason for your listing being removed
It has been reported numerous times.
You have to think outside the box to get this reinstated by redoing the listing title to remove the offending word [cat].

Could you post here the full notice which you received to see what could be the reason?
Here is another thread where a similar case was discussed and coincidentally, the restricted product’s title also included cats and a mental health related wording:
Most likely it will be either due to the word “cat” or “psycho” being picked up by the bots but I would suggest you to try opening a case with the Seller Support to see if they would be able to give you the exact reason why the product was blocked so you can prevent this from happening again.

update:
there is no update!
Ive now messaged over 10 times asking why my case is being ignored and now im seeing footer notes saying Case Closed as this is over a year old! huh?
Of the initial case opening, a message at the end said that (I ad-lib) The case is a priority and we will do our best…you may see that this case has been closed but we assure you it is not. (words to that effect, the message has since gone!)
Ive now re-opened the case and not even had a reply to that, and thats from 3 days ago. The original case is actually still Pending Amazon Action. All messages from me have been from re-contacting CS.
I opened a fresh case as i couldnt see a direct way to appeal a violation. I wrote this:
I wish to appeal this violation on the grounds that there is no evidence I have violated any policy. It appears that the issue is related to the word “Cat”, and that this issue has happened to many sellers in the past. Amazon’s AI has flagged a listing that looks like a violation but to a human it clearly is not, the listing is for a tshirt with a picture of a cat on it! A further search will reveal hundreds of other sellers with exactly the same style of goods for sale, however it’s mine that has been removed and given my health a huge hit!
Therefore I respectfully request that this case be looked at by a human who can then see that there is no violation and that the Amazon bot has falsely flagged a listing.
Kind regards
The mind boggles, who would’ve thought a pussy could cause such grief!!?!?
miao!
