Amazon NOT Following Its Own Policy - Customs Duties & Fees - A-To-Z Claim

Amazon policy clearly states that - "Any additional costs due to the payment of customs and/or tariff duties will be the responsibility of the recipient."

Then why did Amazon grant an A-To-Z Guarantee Claim in the buyer's favor for Order ID 303-3162686-3669138 when buyer himself admitted in the Claim Comments that he is opening the A-To-Z Claim because he wants to blackmail me into paying the Customs Duties & Fees ?

Please remove this defect from our account right away. I already Appealed against this decision in A-Z Claims, but the Amazon Seller Support is filled with buffoons and do not follow their own Amazon policy. This is not our fault and therefore we should not be made to suffer for it.

Before the customer places an order, it must be clear that you are shipping from India and that customs duties (import sales tax) will therefore be incurred. I don't see this in your offers or in your seller profile. You should therefore immediately inform your customers of this before they place an order so that your seller ratings do not become even worse than they already are.

Thats by Law...

Das ODR sollte dringend überarbeitet werden.

Selbst wenn der Kunde es nicht bei der Post abholt...geht es in die Rate. Und wo war mein Fehler ? ;-)

No customer *ever* will read that. Or anything else you send them by email. Just not going to happen. Which means you absolutely have to plan for that in advance - also known as Incoterms DDP.
