'Other' option not available to message buyer
I want to contact my buyers by sending a message with the reason ‘other’ - to send instructions for using the product.
For customers who have already bought my product, I go to manage orders, click on their name, select reason for message: other and send them the email.
On some of my buyers, I am able to do this successfully whilst with about half of my buyers, I am not able to select ‘other’.

I can’t offer an explanation, but you should very carefully read Amazon’s updated policy on buyer-seller messaging. It is my understanding that you are not allowed to proactively send instruction manuals.

Customers can choose to opt out of receiving messages.

It seems to be a random thing.
Sometimes I can email a customer before the order is dispatched, but after, they no longer give the option.
Basically the mail system is rubbish and not fit for purpose…

I believe it’s because Amazon has reduced the acceptable reasons to contact a customer to basically nil. I can’t imagine sending instructions is an allowed reason to open a discussion.
