Shipping DDU or DDP into FBA UK?
Hi, I’m shipping some products into Amazon FBA, and was told amazon only accept DDP shipments. However I’m also being told that DDP should not be allowed in the UK by HMRC as if they come checking your VAT returns and do not find your VAT invoice for the goods imported you be potentially fined in the long run and made to pay.
Whats everyone doing on here?
Are you shipping in DDP terms or DDU and then paying the VAT and Duty once arriving at customs?
We are VAT registered also and have an EORI.

Everything success story I have read on here uses DDP. Someone was going to try sending DAP.
In theory, if the sender puts their details for the importer then customs will contact them. The seller then pays and the items should be delivered to Amazon.
I don’t know if he or anyone else ever tried.
