Buyer has requested a change of address

Reason for contact: Delivery address change request
Details: The incorrect delivery address was selected.

I’m not sure on what to do. I’m leaning towards asking the buyer to request a cancellation, just so I’m safe with the A-Z. Any help would be appreciated on this. Thank you

you can cancel the order yourself by selecting undeliverable address.

If you have already dispatched, confirm by email that it is not possible for you to change the address.
If the Item is still in your possesion the buyer needs to send an order cancellation request / message so your metrics aren’t affected.

I have messaged the buyer as I still have possession of the product that It is not possible for me to change the address and that they would need to send an order cancellation.

I tried to be as considerate as I can with the message, but of course it would annoy anyone that has to cancel an order I guess. Better to be safe than sorry though!

For me it depends on value of order. Sub £15 I take them at their word.

Also I am not aware anyone has ever tried to con me. i.e. my products don’t attract unscrupulous buyers.

I would with other products I would sell e.g. anything under £30 but they have ordered a £100 electronic. Not worth the risk imo

Thank you for contacting me on this matter. Unfortunately, we will not be able to change your delivery address for your product as requested. As we have not shipped your product yet, we would suggest requesting a cancellation, on which you could re-order with the correct address details.

For more information, please read below:
Note: Sellers can’t change the delivery address for you once you’ve submitted your order. If you need to update the delivery address and the item hasn’t dispatched yet, you’ll need to request a cancellation and order again.

To cancel an order:

  1. Go to Your Orders.
  2. Click Cancel Items.
  3. Select the check box next to each item you wish to remove from the order. If you want to cancel the entire order, select all of the items.
  4. Click Cancel checked items when finished.
