Pending orders date / time
Anyway to find out time / date orders are released from pending?
Reason, customer purchases item on a one day delivery at say 9am. The order goes into pending and then released to unshipped, if that order does not get released by Amazon until say 3-4pm it will miss the dispatch for the day which then causes a customer complaint.
It would be helpful to backup my reply to the customers complaint with some actual data to show the order progressing. As it stands at the moment the customer thinks we are lying demands a refund and then leaves you late delivery feedback.

Type, on the Help box in Seller Central, “Pending orders”. You will find the information you need there.
One more thing, though: usually, sellers receive their order confirmation an hour after the buyer purchased from them. This system has been created so as to give buyers a window of 30 minutes in which, if they change their minds, they can still cancel their orders without AMZ notifying sellers.

Hello,
From experience, here is the timeline of orders :-
Customer places an order and it stays in pending for approximately 30mins giving the customer time to cancel if they wish or payment to be confirmed. During this time it is visible in ‘Orders’ under the pending heading.
When customer has NOT cancelled or payment has been confirmed the order becomes confirmed and shows in ‘Orders’ under the unshipped heading. The time showing as that when it was placed is the time the customer initially pressed their confirm button. However, when you bring up the order details which includes the headings ‘ship by’ and ‘deliver by’ you will see that these dates reflect the date that the order was no longer pending and not when it was actually placed. If you think about it, this is the only way it could possibly be or there would be late shipments galore. Unfortunately no allowance is made for the actual time that an order is no longer pending. The clock/date is not reset until midnight UK time. So an order that becomes unshipped at 23.59 still has 1 day to be ‘prepared’ and must be dispatched on the 2nd day but there is only 1 minute left of the 1st day !!!. Rather strangely expedited orders are still given 2 days to be ‘prepared’ but must be delivered the day after they are shipped whether that is on day 1 or 2.
Hope this helps,
Steve

Have a look for the SDN e-mail, that’ll have the date and time it was sent to you when the order came out of pending, that’s how I find the info you need
