After Catalog Approval, I can not add new listing using approved brand name

Hi,

1- I tried to add new listing using brand name and UPC(with same brand name)

2- Amazon forwarded to Apply to Sell page.

3- I filled all information and images and applied.

4- After review of my application, Amazon approved my application and gave me Catalog Authorization approval.

5- I tried to add new listing using same UPC and brand name again after my approval, but I wants Brand Authorization Required even I have approved.

I contacted Seller support using my case but I did not get any solution yet.

Do you have any suggestions?

You need the brands authorization to sell, just because Amazon approved you doesn't mean anything. They assume you have proper permission and that you have the documentation to validate that.

New sellers think that "Approval by Amazon" means they are allowed to sell that brand on Amazon. Unfortunately that is not the case. Amazon will probably let you list - after Amazon's approval - and THEN, the brand owner is placing an IP complaint because you have no "Letter of Authorization" from that brand, and then Amazon will suspend your account.

So, be happy the system didn't let you list. Otherwise you were asking now "Help, my account has been suspended, what can I do?"

For the future, to list a brand you need two things:

1. Invoices (NOT receipts) from an authorized distributor of this brand

2. "Letter of authorization" from that brand allowing you to sell on Amazon.

This is the case for many, many brands. Google for "Current List Of Amazon Gated & Restricted Brands".

As others have said, you need the brand's permission to sell on Amazon. You'll need to contact the brand for their approval and obtain a Letter of Authorization from them.

The brand will likely want to know where you sourced your products from that you're trying to list. If you're successful in obtaining permission and in listing, Amazon also may want to know at some point where you sourced them so you'll need invoices from a brand authorized distributor or the brand itself.

Hi @Seller_vsU3LQwGtrIhW,

Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. I have reviewed case 14988170751 and see that you are now approve to sell the brand, however it may take 24 hour to reflect.

Please try again after 24 hours and let me know if you continue to run into issues.

Thanks,

Steve
