Sellers Beware! Phishing attempts from Amazon.eu

For the first time ever I have nearly fallen for a phishing attempt. I received an email telling me that my account was under review and I had to confirm its details within 3 days or it would be suppressed. I clicked on the link, but Chrome warned me thankfully!

What made this phishing attempt different, was that the address looked as legit as it gets (usually it’s easily identifiable scams with addresses like amz-seller.com or sc-amazon.com, etc). The address on this one was europe@sellercentral.amazon.eu!

If anyone from Amazon reads this, I cannot believe that Amazon does not own Amazon.eu. It’s not like it’s Amazon.pizza. I think you should start proceedings to claim that address back.

You can actually fake what an email address looks like. But if you hover over it, you can see what it actually is usually.
So the chances are, that email was not sent from the address that it appears to be from.
