The buy box is allocated using Amazon's own algorithm, so maybe none of the offers meet the criteria that are taken into account by the algorithm ?
It is strange to me that you would ask Amazon to look at that ASIN given it is clearly a Dettol product being sold as a different brand. The whole listing needs removing, not just the buybox being taken away.
" ....and everyone sells on different listing according to their profit or history or data of listing"
I really am not sure what you mean by that statement ?? You should be listing by the barcode that is on the item, and not any random listing that looks similar. Nothing to do with profit, history or anything else. You shouldn't just list on an item because it has had good sales, but that matches exactly.
One of the big problems with Amazon is that they have allowed sellers to create their own 'brands' for items that are already branded, including well known brands, which has made a terrible mess of the catalogue.
That is the main issue if amazon allows to sell branded product under their own brand name it is amazon fault to look after, sellers just see where the sales are more and newbies like me get traped in listing like these,
Unfortunately that is not the way Amazon works, and they expect you to have done your research and understand their listing processes and requirements. Amazon will not help if the mistake is made by the seller, the onus is always on the seller to do things correctly, but you're right in a way, that new sellers can fall into the many potential pitfalls.
Have you read Amazon's Seller University ? - essential reading for all new sellers.
wow wrote something bad regarding amazon which is actually truth and got 4 dislikes.
Well, I did not give you a dislike, so don't blame me !!
There are many people who have a lot of 'bad' things to say about Amazon - the reason for the thumbs down votes is probably because others have realised that you have not fully understood Amazon's listing process and requirements, and not because you said something bad about Amazon. As I said earlier, the whole brand registry thing has made a mess of the catalogue, and (IMO) is a mockery of real brands. people have 'branded' Cadbury's chocolate with their own brand name, and many other well known brands.
The way I see it, yes sellers should be responsible for what they do. Equally Amazon should be responsible for their platform. It's full of people selling Cadburys and Haribo products (just to mention two) under fake brands and it's quite obvious that it's not stuff that comes from wholesalers. As long as Amazon pretend not to see that, there will be sellers listing their products under brand JIOUYHJIILL.or whatever.
It is starnge that amazon selling Branded product on someone else made own brand listing B08TMYCGNX
How about this would like to say anything about this listing. Please check ASIN B08TMYCGNX and see whos out there selling
It will be because of their competitive pricing/
In case most of those sellers are listing hijackers, their variety of products messed up Amazon algorithm, then some strange things happened. Even Amazon seller support can't explain the reason.
The Buy Box problem has existed since it was first created (10 years ago??)
In my opinion virtually everyone (including people from Amazon) who says that they know what factors affect the buy box are just guessing. I can only talk about books and in that category "condition" appears (and I am only guessing!! )to over rule other factors in the race for the buy box. A book in "As New" will always beat "GOOD" no matter if it is 10 times the cost.
The best buy box I have seen recently is an American seller with 71% feedback , a price of £30 ( lowest was £10 - nobody else was higher than 12). There was no description of the book other than VERY GOOD (all the others were GOOD or worse.). There was really very little to recommend this seller.
I personally think the concept of a buy-box is dreadfully flawed and should be done away with. Let the buyer make a choice of what they want to buy by looking at what the sellers are offering and what their record is. and not let Amazon try to persuade them that "this one is the best don't look any further"
A quick search shows item B0D22WZW1P available at Superdrug for £1.49 - thats why the buy box is removed.
