Amazon VAT charges
I am VAT registered, and paying VAT through my accountant on the turnover generated every 3 months. Does Amazon also automatically collect VAT/tax from me for the same? I am just worried that I might be paying VAT twice, once through my accountant and once through Amazon. Looking at this date range report, I cannot work out whether Amazon does take VAT from me on the sales or not. Can someone help me how it works please?
Thanks

no - amazon don’t collect or pay any UK VAT for you (presuming you are UK Based)
The VAT amount on your sales is the bottom right hand box

Per your prior posts, you are a UK resident and a UK business. As such Amazon do not withhold or pay UK VAT on your behalf, your accountant is remitting it correctly.

I am on the flat rate 6.5% - 7.5% VAT which makes you unelligible to claim back and VAT, so the accountant has not claimed any VAT back. I will clarify what you guys said here with him anyway

Thanks @PeterB . I send the Amazon VAT Transaction Report, which is under Fulfillment by Amazon and also the Summary report to the accountant.
