Read onlyI am now unable to cut and paste text from previous cases with Seller Support.
This is really frustrating when so much information needs to be repeated.
Is this just me or are other people having the same problem?
Yes, i've noticed as well. Extremely frustrating.
Try highlighting the area and while holding it highlighted - press ctrl+c.
My computer nerdy friend suggested?
Notepad or Text Editor: Copy the text you need and paste it into a simple text editor like Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac). You can then edit or reformat it as needed before copying and pasting it back into the Amazon Seller Support interface.
Browser Extension: There are browser extensions available that can help with copying and pasting text. Extensions like "Clipboard History" or "MultiCopy" might provide additional functionality that makes this process easier.
A classic case of someone making a change to the system who does not or never has used that system. It is such a small thing but in this day and age expecting to copy text from a document with a couple of clicks seems to be a very very basic function.
I use mac and if you screenshot it you can then copy the text when you open the screenshot
This is yet another act of jackbooting into our wee territory where we are desperately seeking help and they have done it deliberately. One rule for them and one rule for us. I used to be abused by seller support for repeating myself and for re-opening cases.
They can repeat themselves, for months. But we are not allowed to.
The tiny bit of difference between them and us is that the grievance is ours, not theirs. The resolution is our right; for them, their duty.
They had also started to send automated response, shutting down cases, if we repeated ourselves. However, I bypassed it by putting different characters on top.
Also so that we don't repeat, they had suppressed the first line.
Again, adding character on top and then writing, addressed that too.
Anyway I have started to upload screenshot of my concern and chase them to address it.
Also you could:
1, Select the text and press Ctrl + C.
2, If the right-click isn't working, try Shift + F10.
The best is to take a screenshot and save it in the first post itself and just upload it, easy, and add asking them to resolve it for you.
Amazon is focusing on shutting us up, not on resolving cases. What a total mockery of the whole idea of seller support infrastructure. It was designed to empower sellers and enhance selling experience.
Instead, they don't want us to correct listings, boost catalogue, request legitimate reimbursements. In fact they don't even want us to open any cases. Which is all sad because the catalogue would be completely dysfunctional if it were not for the seller contributions. As for reimbursements, only if seller businesses are not crippled, this entire platform would flourish. However, the business teams are very regressive, they simply don't understand the basis of the seller support infrastructure.
Hardly an innocent change, simply an intention to wear you down and go away

That's a lot of copy and paste!
You should always get an email copy of their Case updates ...which has all the case text - this can be copied/pasted back into the case ID on amazon
