Amazon caught cheating the system?

I think I have got proof that Amazon are cheating/fixing the shipping system!

Until this morning I was shipping PRIME with Evri. Due to ongoing issues with Evri, I have taken PRIME off. (Still using Evri).

Same item on PRIME will arrive tomorrow........using the SAME shipping medthod but item not listed as PRIME.......Delivery shows as Saturday 30th - Tuesday 2nd......seriously! (dates shown to buyer- as we all know this makes a huge differnce to them buying/not buying)

No matter the options/setting used the earliest I can show on a listing is Saturday 30th even if the ONLY option is NEXT day delivery....I think this shows that Amazon are cheating the shipping settings and strongly believe this may be unlawful......

maybe some can correct me on this?

We dispatch same day if orders are received by 2pm. Our listings are now showing as delivery by 04/12/24!!

We use RM Tracked 48 which should arrive by Saturday 30/11/24.

I tried getting help from Seller support. I detailed the problem in the message, the sent me a robot answer saying I'd requested info about Amazon Advertising.

Not sure I've got the strength to communicate with the Amazon Beast!!!!

Our sales today have been awful.

on our shipping templates though Amazon aren’t aware of the courier we are using. It’s just Standard Delivery and there’s a minumum timeframe to which that can be set (2-3 days). It’s then up to you to choose a delivery method that can deliver in that time. If you are using a next day service, that’s up to you but it won’t show that.

Otherwise what would be the point in even doing Prime Delivery for Amazon?

Currently, due to VTR not tracking correctly yet again, we are set to the base rate of 2-3 days.

We have 1 day handling, and our metrics show an average delivery range of 2.4 days from order date.

With the base rate of 2-3 days and 1 day handling, that is a total of 4 days. We clearly beat these 4 days with metric average of 2.4 days. However, these metrics clearly mean nothing as Amazon naturally shows our delivery estimate on items as 5th - 6th December. Which is 5-6 days.

Clearly Amazon's system can't do basic math or is setup to purposefully shaft FBM.

Additionally the base shipping template is far too limited and unfit. Large parcels that can't use Royal Mail and go to Inverness, Shetlands etc, cost more than most of the UK, yet this can't be factored in and you can't take them off.

We are also suffering having our delivery dates padded by Amazon due to a VTR issue that was the result of Linnworks & Amazon not sending the courier name (at Amazon's request) for 10 days.

Amazon are denying all knowledge of this and now ignoring us.

I have tagged mods in another post but also ignored, raised cases with seller support and spoken to Account health team.

It is grossly unfair.

We have a health rating of 1000, no late shipments and send the vast amount of orders either tracked RM or DPD.

Our VTR also suffers due to RM48 Large Letters not being scanned on delivery by the postmen - but that really shouldn't count and has never affected our delivery dates before.

I am not usually a cynic, but I am starting to smell a rat here.

Im getting this a lot. Amazon wont allow me to use a Standard Two-Day Delivery recently. A lot of orders are 'Next Day' Only. I have jus tbeen emailing the customers telling them we need to cancel and that its Amazons fault

It seems that Amazon has applied Prime promise padding to your listings. If your On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics fall below the targeted level, Amazon will automatically add promise padding. Unfortunately, we’ve been facing this issue every week. Despite opening multiple cases, the internal team is still investigating, as usual.

its like a corrupt grim place to sell atm.. far from what it used to be like.. and in the long run will not help the company.

i tried evri and they were horrendous, we use royal mail for prime and we get around 98.5/99% delivery tracked 24,

occassionally we get issues where amazon think royal mail will not arrive in time but i find if you go into the individual order rather than 'buy shipping in bulk' it lets us buy tracked 24,

as others have said if you have 'ongoing issues' with evri this may affect your delivery estimate,

go royal mail, agree a price for whatever size you send and get a collection, best thing we ever did!

hope you sort it!
