Nothing wrong with unfillable items
OK so I have just had my 1st unfillable item sent back to me. There is nothing wrong with it. It is in perfect condition.
So I have asked Amazon why they have deemed this to be unfillable.
Their answer is unacceptable. They say the customer told them it was not adequate so they have deemed the item unfillable based on this without checking the return themselves.
Over the last few days, I have spent hours going through my FBA discrepancies and I have found 100’s where they are not doing their job properly.
So I have paid to have an item returned to me that is in perfect condition that I now have to pay to send back to them to add to the FBA stock or sell it separately.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Once items are returned by buyers back into Amazon’s FBA warehouse, they are inspected and may be deemed as “unfulfillable”, based on the condition or the buyer’s comments, for example.
As the seller, there is nothing you can do but remove the merchandise and then if you believe there is nothing wrong with it, send it back.
Here you can learn more:
”The unit was returned to stock as “unsellable”. This does not necessarily mean that the item itself is damaged (for example, external packaging might have been opened), but it cannot be sold again in this condition. When this happens the customer is refunded, but the unit stays in your inventory as “unsellable”. You can request to have the unit returned to you.”

It’s the principal with me. They are so crap at dealing with admin but if we mess up a little they are quit happy to come down on us like a tonne of bricks. I already spend many frustrating hours a week dealing with seller support a few more wont make a difference.
