FBA lost item, incorrect reimbursement recieved
Hi,
I recently sent in several items for FBA.
These items were ‘lost’ by amazon and they sent me a reimbersments.
I have received this refund, but the amounts per item do not correctly correspond with what I paid for the items… some are well under while some refunds are more than what I expected.
What do I do?
Can I request that amazon review the underpaid items, or do they review the whole order?..
Also, what happens if the items are later found are these then sold and refunds revoked?..
Is there a time limit to challenge the reimbursements amounts?
(I have invoice evidence of the purchase costs where I have bought my items direct from the product manufacturer, these items seem to be somewhat new to the Amazon platform, so i’m guessing they don’t have a selling history of these goods).
Does any one else have experience of this please?
Any advice gratefully received.
Cheers
Kate

The reimbursement for each item should be based upon what you would have received if the item had sold through Amazon FBA. i.e. Selling Price - Amazon’s charges.
The Selling Price will not necessarily be your Price, but an average worked out by Amazon based upon previous sales, but if your item(s) are new to the Amazon platform this could cause problems for them to calculate.

Not sure what your purchase price from your supplier has to do with it?
Reimbursements should be what you would have received had the item sold normally and after relevant fees have been deducted.

Hello Top Tree Supplies,
If you feel the reimbursement value reimbursed to you for a unit is lower than the amount it should be, then you can open a case with the Seller Support team, providing infomration on the reimbursement, and proof of the correct price of the items. The proof should be in the form of a manufacturers invoice for the cost of the products or something similar.
More information can be found on the FBA Lost and Damaged Inventory Reimbursement Policy help page.
I hope this helps,
Alex

Good luck getting it reviewed - I also have had on numerous occasions Amazon re-imbursing me less than I paid for a product. My assumption was they were deducting tax off zero rated products as I am signed up for Amazon VAT services
No matter how many invoices I provided or how many times I argued they would refuse to credit the difference, nor could I actually speak to anyone of any authority.
