Are unscanned Royal Mail 24 / 48 and 1st and 2nd class Large Letters and Parcels still going to be 'validated' as they have been for the last few years, even though the confirmation of that happening has been removed from the new and updated VTR policy pages ?

To be honest you know what our questions are from other threads. Such as the one where we have asked Ezra many questions with no answers for days.

When you do this question and answer it will only be 2 weeks until enforcement day. If we are doing things wrong it will not be possible to take any corrective action and avoid category suspensions.

If the answers are not forthcoming until the 11th February then is it possible to move the enforcement day back a month so we can prepare properly and not face category suspensions.

If a parcel has a valid tracking ID but the delivery company do not scan it does amazon still validate it so that your listings do not become deactivated ............ P.S There is no point going to the delivery company and saying "oh will you ensure you scan it"

I would like to copy/paste one of my replies on another forum, just to make sure this gets asked:

Firstly, Julia the Amazon moderator said:

"I´m confirming that cross-border shipments below £20 are exempted from VTR calculations, provided they're sent using a letter method. This includes large letter with Royal Mail. You'll need to use a tracked shipping method for shipments over £20, unless you use untracked Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class Letter stamps and franking purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping (at no extra cost).

Has this clarified your questions?"

However, other sellers are saying their VTR is still affected despite sending cross-border shipments below £20 using a letter method. Which I presume is under £20 including shipping, ex vat. Maybe a technical issue?

Either way, this should urgently be looked at and clarified before the enforcement date.

I have moved all our international over to tracked and put our prices up due to this uncertainty.

@Julia_Amazon please kindly take a closer look at this, just to be safe.

---

Secondly, the policy page says untracked 1st / 2nd stamps / franking are exempt from VTR if using buy shipping - does this also include Royal Mail 24 and 48?

---

Thirdly - the other question people have is if unscanned are still going to be validated behind the scenes still (if not using Buy Shipping). There was no announcement saying this had changed, but it's not mentioned on the policy page anymore.

'Untracked Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class letter stamps and franking are exempt from VTR if purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping (at no extra cost).'

Can you please confirm this includes LARGE LETTERS as well as letters?

Also can you confirm if unscanned 1st & 2nd Class Royal Mail large letters not purchased through buy shipping (BPL) will be validated behind the scenes as they are now?

Everything I now input for large letters is returning invalid and Amazon Buy Shipping is not available in the Isle of Man.

Please can anyone confirm what you are supposed to input for large letters?, or even the policy update for the Isle of Man which isn't included?.

It is not financially viable to send large letters and low value items tracked delivery in the Isle of Man.

TIA

1. Can you confirm that unscanned Royal Mail RM24/48 Large Letter items will continue to be validated as they have been previously

2. Can you let me know if you buy Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter through Click and Drop why this is never valid for VTR even if a delivery scan has taken place?

3. Why can't you buy some Royal Mail services through buy shipping. Such as Royal Mail on Account BPL products (Large Letters and Letters). It would be much easier to switch to buy shipping for VTR protection if you offered these services.

4. What is the policy on postage brought through Veeqo. As this is an Amazon product does it (or will it in the future) give you protection for VTR?

I’m registered in France but have a UK account so in my eyes everything I send to the UK is a cross border shipment, yet everything under €20 (approx £16.50) has been included in last months VTR what do I need to do to eradicate this. Your video states cross border sales under €20 are unaffected. I expect if this isn’t addressed I’ll be suspended then have to go through seller support who’ve not answered my question from 8 days ago, stating pending Amazon action. ☹️

Also I have been sending with a CN23 from la Poste with a barcode and no., scanned by Royal Mail but I’ve been informed this isn’t a recognised carrier both are down as recognised carriers I have a no. and a scan so why is this not good enough. It states on my VTR no scan attempted this is completely incorrect and I can prove it as I have emails from RM stating it’s been delivered with the delivery no. so it has to have been scanned. Please what’s going on?
