Brand approval rejection
I’m trying to resell with FBA a well-known cosmetics brand from Korea called Innisfree. I can see there are many sellers on Amazon who are selling their products. When I requested approval to sell this brand’s products, Amazon asked me to provide a purchase invoice as proof. So I went and spent a lot of money buying the products to be shipped to my house because I am not yet approved and therefore I don’t have the FBA warehouse address to ship to. Amazon came back to me and rejected my application with the most generic response. Basically “we are rejecting you to ensure the best experiences for both sellers and buyers”. Why won’t they tell me what is exactly the problem and how to fix it? Have you guys been rejected before did you end up getting approved in the end?
I did open a ticket asking for exact reasons and I am willing to fix whatever is the issue on my side.

If they don’t give a reason then it is usually because there isn’t a specific reason, but more do with you as a seller having limited sales history, being new etc (which i recognise are also specific reasons). Sell something else and then apply again in a month or two.

Is the invoice made out to your limited company and did you find out if your amazon account was a business one in the limited company name?

im in the process of getting approval atm…
just waiting for products to be manufactured
nothing has been simple with Amazon FBA so far, so i can see some problems possibly headed my way also.
i dont understand why they wouldn’t let you sell because your account is new? thats the whole reason its new, you havent been able to sell anything because you need approval!

To be honest with you, it’s a crapshoot.
You can be rejected with a generic response 2 or 3 times but on the next go with the same information submitted, your approved.
There is no consistency to how Amazon apply their verification process and we put it down to the individual Amazon employee dealing with your appeal.
I have had many different brand ungates rejected and a re-submission of the same Invoices on the same day as the rejection then being approved.
It is an insane system where Amazon go out of their way to give you as little detail as to why it was rejected, and what process they used to reject it, or what further information they require for you to have the distinct honour of making them money in fees.
This generic message from them in itself fills sellers with the “best” experience of how Amazon aim to treat you moving forward.
I have myself just been on the phone with Amazon trying to explain to them that my major supplier that they have verified as a supplier for over 30 ungates all of a sudden comes with the generic message of “We were not able to verify the supplier information listed on the invoice provided, we need more information”
But… they give no explanation as to why they cannot verify one of the largest suppliers in the UK and Europe this time round.
At least this time they did not ask for my suppliers supplier which they usually ask, (which no supplier in the world would give you)
