1 Star review not from buyer - Clearly competitor. Need help pls
Hello,
We recieved a 1 Star review. Not from a buyer. I can not even see who gave it!?
The product over delivers, it’s perfect, best on market, we have sold 100’s on ebay and got 100% reviews. Clearly a competitor, how do I get this 1 Star Review removed?
Regards
James

The one 5star review says purchased elsewhere ?!

The product review system is completely bizarre to me. Anybody can review anything as long as you have spent over £50 or so across Amazon. You don’t even need to leave a comment, you can just anonymously drop a 1 star review on something you’ve never purchased before and that could really mess with someone’s business.

“Review not from buyer”
How do you know? You don’t, as it’s anonymous
You have no proof of that, as it’s anonymous
You can’t

Remember if you buy a lot on amazon or online and constantly get the please review this message, it can be a pain to write explanations but easy to click 1 star, doesn’t mean it’s a competitor

Everybody knows that only the verified reviews matter as there is so much publicity about the ridiculous system.

Almost 99 percent sure its not a competitor.
People can not be happy even with the smallest things.
And besides for that, to say that your product is perfect and best on market is slightly ridiculous! Nothing is perfect, perfect is subjective and there can be so many things that a customer might not like about this product or any product for that matter. so no, 1 star reviews are very common on Amazon, 99 percent of times they are legit and we can be pretty sure that yours is one of those.

With ‘Alexa’ now asking for ratings over the echo etc I think you will find more and more ‘stars’ appearing without a written review to go along with it.
When asked I have always shouted out ‘5’ but if she is catching people at a bad moment, they will easily just shout out ‘1’, with their anger more likely aimed at Alexa intruding them! Rather than giving a correct product review.

Amazon has noticed unusual reviewing activity on this product. Due to this activity, we have limited this product to verified purchase reviews.

I was once given a 1 star because “can’t review it, as its not for me - a present”. There could be a tonne of reasons why you were given one - you can’t just assume it’s a competitor unfortunately.

You are not getting anywhere with this and everyone suffers something similar at some point. I had a customer who wanted to return a bespoke item. I said they couldn’t so they posted a negative review on the product and then put an inauthenticity claiming the product is not genuine.
Trust me trying to deal with this issue when you are the registered brand owner and trade mark owner, the one star review was the least of my worries. I had to submit alsorts of docs and still awaiting an appeal to prove my own manufactured trademarked products are genuine.
I don’t think a single non commented 1 star review will make any difference. I have a few products that have the odd one star review with a bunch of 5 star reviews and happy comments more than making up for it.
For what its worth, customers get bored looking at perfect reviews and scroll down to the bad ones. If there is nothing there then they will gladly buy the product. The bad thing is when they write something negative and you now no longer have a right of reply.
