Is it possible to freeze the Amazon shop monthly fees when going away for a month?

Hi There,
I wondered if anybody could help with my query.
Is it possible to freeze the Amazon shop monthly fees when going away for a month?

I know how to use the Vacation/ Holiday setting to make the items inactive but I wanted to find out if I could take a break from my monthly shop change / fee ?

And how to do this if this is possible ?

Thank you in advance.

Hello, yes you can, you simply downgrade your account to individual, and then when you return upgrade to Pro again.
Go to Settings - account info - Your Services - Manage.

Just remember that the fee you have already paid will apply until the end of that month - it is done by date.
I did this earlier in the year as was away for 6 weeks.

I would strongly advise you not to downgrade your Seller Account only to save the few pounds.

Once you downgrade, all your brand/category approvals may get lost and upgrading back into a Professional Account could trigger a verification and a suspension, after which you will be asked to provide additional documents.

If I were you, I would set a 30 days Handling Time. This will allow you to continue accepting orders whilst being away, without having to process and ship them.

No mention in the help pages of any consequences to your account for downgrading

_Switch to an Individual selling plan _
You can easily switch to an Individual selling plan.

On the Seller Account Information page, in the Your Services section on the left, click Manage.
On the My Services page, click Downgrade.
Notes:
Downgrading from a Professional selling plan to an Individual selling plan can result in a change in your payment cycle.
When you switch to an Individual selling plan, your current listings will continue to be available for sale unless you set them to Inactive in your Listings Status page. Deactivating listings alone will not switch your selling plan. Make sure that you switch your selling plan if you want to avoid additional monthly fees.
Review the terms on the next page, then click Confirm Selling Plan Change to accept the terms and switch your plan.

I have already assisted numerous sellers who were suspended after upgrading their Seller Account into Professional, that’s why I said “could”, as it isn’t always the case.

All requests are reviewed by Amazon and sellers may be asked to provide additional documents such as invoices to verify their selling history.

Another point nobody has yet mentioned is that if you downgrade the selling plan for a month, you will lose the ability to set your own shipping rates. When you upgrade back to the monthly subscription you would need to re-set your shipping templates. Which might be fairly simple for some sellers, but more complicated for others.
