VAT & Dropshipping within EU
Hi,
Tricky question about VAT. If I dropship from another EU country, should I apply for VAT in that country?

Depends where the customer is?
If also in the EU as I understand by the rules, the goods will be in the country at the time of the sale, therefore you are effectively fulfilling within the country, so yes.
You will be having to pay VAT on the goods when you ‘buy’ them to ship to your customer anyway since the place of supply for the fulfilment will be within the EU. At least then you might be able to reclaim the purchase VAT on your sales VAT return.

Customer is in the EU, let say country A.
Supplier is in the EU - country B.
And I’m based in the EU - country C, and I have local VAT number.
If I store my inventory in country B, I would have to have VAT there.
But if I dropship from country B, maybe situation is different?
