My card is invalid or validating

I have been a buyer here for many years and today decided to become a private seller. But whenever I try to sell an item I get this:

Problem with your Seller Account

You’re currently unable to add or edit listings because either the credit card on file is invalid or the credit card is in the process of validating, which could take up to 24 hours. Please ensure that you have a valid credit card uploaded in Account Settings.

Double check the credit/debit card assigned to both your “charge method” and “advertising charge method” in the seller central settings page.
make sure neither of these has expired and that they both have enough funds for Amazon’s test withdrawals (£5 iirc)

If this was an established card which always worked for you without issues, you need to make sure there are enough funds, transaction limit isn’t exceeded and it’s still valid.

Meanwhile, I would advise you to replace the charge method on file with a different one.

Assign deposit methods

You must specify a bank account to these marketplaces for receiving payments

It is ok for UK, do I have to specify these other EU countries too???

I have just had another email from Adobe telling me the card has been updated (which it didnt need to be). I will do as you ask regarding the EU (do you have a brexit account too !!).

forget it, thanks to everyone. Its far too complicated for a mere individual to comprehend - back to eBay. Account closed.

It tells you exactly what is going on in the very message you reproduce: “either the credit card on file is invalid or the credit card is in the process of validating, which could take up to 24 hours”.

I suggest you wait 24 hours to see if the problem clears itself.

No, it isn’t. It’s the simplest thing imaginable. Read the message.
