Warning: very good looking phishing scam email regarding verifying identity

they are using the website: cs-amazon.com

Subject: Your Selling Account: Action Needed

Body: Dear Seller,

We are conducting a review of your selling account. As part of this review, we need to verify your contact information. It's necessary to verify these details for the following reasons: Eligibility for the Account Health Assurance program, which helps protect your account from potential disruptions. To learn more, go to Account Health Assurance: Frequently asked questions. Access to account health specialists that can contact you and address critical account-related concerns before they impact your business operations.

What steps do I need to take?

-- Please confirm that we can reach you at the phone number listed under "Emergency Notifications", at this link: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/notifications/preferences. Alternatively, go to the Notification Preferences page in the Settings section of Seller Central.

-- Once you have confirmed that your contact information is accurate, please promptly send us your confirmation email so we can proceed with the INFORM Consumers Act verification process.

Send Confirmation (When you click on this it creates an email reply to the scammers) they then follow up with email about verifying your identity and they have you log on.

Just a reminder to watch out and never login anywhere else, maybe the admins/mods can fwd this to the right people to get them closed down, the website has been registered since 2025-03-18

Great call-out and tip for those who receive similar emails diverting you to log into websites outside of Amazon. For your protection, please do not respond or click on links without first reporting suspicious emails to the appropriate channels.

To report this issue, please forward the email to stop-spoofing@amazon.com. Do not click on any links and delete the suspicious email from your inbox once finished. Always err on the side of caution with suspicious emails and remember that it's better to take a few extra steps to verify than to fall victim to a scam.

The forums community and I are thankful for your contribution. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.

Thankfully,

Remy

It was definitely a great email, and probably fooled a lot of people. I had to check a lot of links in it to decide it probably wasn't real, which was complicated by the fact that when I went straight to Seller Central, I did have a "confirm email" message there. Whoever wrote this one was good!

The URL that finally tipped me off ends in "ns.nl", which was why I reported it also....

Yes they almost got me. I have gotten multiple request to change password Luckily I was able to stop it due to the two step verification.

I got a similar email saying I need to click to start the verification process for INFORM. There is no notice in my performance notifications. Am I to assume it's a spoof?

I was going to type the email address I'm getting when I mouse over the "send confirmation" but Amazon won't let me. They say it's not a valid Amazon address.
