Parent & Child Variations - Photo issue

We are trying to update some photos on our listings but it keeps getting rejected and the reason given by Amazon is below

"The images displayed on the detail page of the ASIN: xx are not matching as per the images provided by you. After reviewing the images for the ASIN: xx, we have determined that the images displayed on the detail page belong to a different ASIN. Both ASINs are part of the same variation family and only differ by COLOR_NAME Variation theme.

When products have a similar appearance and differ only in terms of Variation themes, the Amazon catalogue system selects a single set of images to be displayed for the ASINs within the variation.

To make changes to the images displayed on the detail page, updates need to be made on the other ASINs and child ASINs under the variation family."

We are doing nothing different than we have done before, these are existing listings and all we've done is refreshed what are pretty much the same photos but Amazon keep saying no.

Anyone come across this before?

Thanks

Yesterday I discovered that a couple of dozen images I had updated for listings with variations were not uploading at all. Of course, I didn't get any info. Why does Amazon always have to make everything so complicated?

In my case, Amazon's system did not select any single set of photos as they wrote in their reply.

It simply left the old, non-actual ones.

Customer service Chat supposedly from 8 a.m. and no one is available.
