Description disappeared from my listing

Dear friends,

I have an individual account with Amazon. I am quite new and only have one product listed. Recently, I noticed that the Description, Bullets/Features and Legal information have disappeared from my listing. I have no idea why and how this happened. When I go into my seller account and check the listing details, everything is there. It is just not reflecting online.

This looks like a glitch in Amazon portal. I have seen sellers have posted similar issue in other forums as well with no help from the customer service.

I am also in the same boat and Amazon Customer Service is not helping me enough to resolve this issue. Instead of fixing this technical issue they keep asking me for below:

  • Manufacturer’s or publisher’s (for books) website URL clearly showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier such as, UPC, EAN, ISBN, if available
  • Manufacturer’s catalogue (Product user manual): You can submit either a scanned image of the physical catalogue or PDF version showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier such as, UPC, EAN, ISBN, if available.
  • High-resolution product pictures clearly showing the suggested changes, along with a visible product identifier such as, UPC, EAN, ISBN
  • A high-resolution photo of the item in its original packaging, showing the product identifier code such as UPC, EAN, ISBN, and the attribute or attributes that you need to change.

I have no idea why are they asking for this information. My product does not have a catalogue/broucure. Its quite simple. I am importing from India, unbranded does not have any UPC, EAN, ISBN etc.

This has now taken a toll on me as it is impacting my sales. Customers cannot get an idea what my product is all about so likely impacting my sales.

Regarding the pictures - Do I simply take the pictures of my product on my mobile and send them?

Any help would be much appreciated.

If you’re buying and selling for profit, you should be registered as a business seller, not as an individual seller. Individual selling accounts are for selling off pre-owned goods only.

Just thought I should warn you.

What has happened is that your contribution to the description, bullet points etc on the listing is being ignored as in Spain and Italy different brands have been attributed to ASIN B08Y9BTK44 so you have lost listing control.

Hello @FAB_United_Products

I had a similar issue couple of weeks back and approached seller support to resolve the issue.
Below is the response I received. However, it didnt help me and so I reopened the case and provided the information what they requested. It took almost a week to resolve the issue and I had to supply same information again and again to different seller support (as it goes to different associate whenever case is reopened). In my opinion, if below fix dont help you, then seller support is the only option.

Good luck
