Hello,

I had been trying to upload the requested information to you to verify my seller account but had some trouble doing it, I contacted HMRC for new information regarding my tax info as the information I supplied was not accepted and they are sending it to me so I would have be able to upload more info soon, I was told I had 60 days to supply this information in my seller account but my account has been deactivated with no reason given other than ‘we have decided that you may not open a selling on Amazon account.’

I have contacted the customer service line but was told I could have no information regarding why my account was deactivated and they told me that I could also not appeal the decision, they then told me to email payments-investigation, which I did but they have not replied to me, neither have the verification team and now my cases are being ignored and marked ‘answered’ by the customer services team when they have not been answered at all.

Please help me with this situation, I don't know what I have done wrong and was thoroughly enjoying selling on Amazon. I have been a customer with Amazon for 20 years and would really appreciated some help with this.

Can I ask why you have deactivated my account without giving me the promised 60 days to provide the verification documents you requested? I have seen, on the seller forums, numerous people submitted many, many documents that were unsatisfactory before finally getting a document accepted, why have I not been given the same courtesy?

My funds, some £514, have been put into account level reserve when they were marked available before this horrible action was taken.

I must say that I am disgusted with the way I have been treated, the customer service team needs training and needs to stop writing on EVERY message ‘We’re here to help’ as they are not ‘We understand the impact this is having on your business’ because they don’t care, there is no support for sellers and the customer service team need to be reported, they have minimal understanding of issues, I personally had 4 different customer service advisers give me 4 different ‘solutions’ to the same problem, none of which fixed the issue. Why is there no supervision of them, and if there is supervision, why can I not speak to a supervisor or ANYONE that can help?

Amazon seems to be able to just deactivate an account and withhold peoples’ funds with no justification, this action was taken extremely lightly, regardless of the impact this has had on my life and now everyone is ignoring me, I’m outraged.

I cannot just leave this situation and will be taking this further, Amazon is supposed to be a wonderful, trusted company, however it seems that in recent years they have become just a ‘big’ company and feel they can step on smaller businesses, sellers on Amazon have absolutely no recourse, no support, nowhere to turn when they are unfairly treated, which, according to sellers on the forums is an extremely regular occurrence.

Please do not continue to ignore me, I would like answers to my questions, you are charging for a service and need to explain why you have not provided that service. I do not expect my account to be re-activated, the customer service/verification teams are clearly too lazy to have a seller to deal with that they need to actually support! But I do want MY money and answers to my questions.

Did you complete the identity verification? The verification of your identity is required by law for the use of a payment account.
