Hey all. I Used to not bother with Safe-T-Claims but now that Amazon is refunding people in full on returns under ~100$, I've found that people are regularly returning products in blatantly materially different condition with no concern of a restocking fee. I Figured, i pay my fee's, i may as well file safe-t-claims and try to get reimbursed as i'm now averaging at least one a week that's around 70-80$+ (i don't bother with 40-50$ or less products as i'm worried about being flagged for abusing the system or something).
The problem i'm encountering is Amazon refunding me only half and claiming that that is policy. While that is the case for used products, materially different products allow for a restocking fee of up to 100%, which is what i used to get in the past on the off chance i'd have to file a safe-t (I used to file MAYBE one every month or 2 a few years ago). Any idea how to get past this? I Filed 3 claims over the last month and a half or so and had the same issue so far with all of them. Disputes have been futile but i did start pointing out in the claims that the 50% maximum is for used/damaged products, not blatantly materially different ones.
Am i wrong here?
It's just gotten to the point where i'm losing thousands a month on returns, the vast majority of which are buyers remorse, and the rest are just materially different returns (Old used crap in boxes); the label losses alone are probably close to 1000$ a month. Gotta get what i can where i can.. These return rates are getting absolutely insane.
