We seem to have had quite a few raises on the bounce or is it just time flying fast? We own a prep centre so it does affect what we do for clients - although we are well over the rate for free collections. I do get somewhat peeved that the public can often get cheaper prices than someone spending £1,000 to £3,000 a week with them just on our own stuff!

Given the general state of affairs with the economy it was no wonder that postal rises would have to take this into consideration, plus the cost of strikes. A standard 2nd class LL, 100g, will increase by 10p, when bought online and a standard 2nd class parcel, up to 2kg, will increase by 14p. These rates are not as steep as I thought they would be but given Amazon’s new fees for FBA, everything we sell, for example, would have to increase in price by at least 30p unless we absorbed some of the cost

First class stamp price to rise to £1.10
The price of a first class stamp is to rise above £1 in April, Royal Mail has announced.
From 3 April, first class stamps will increase by 15p to £1.10, while second class stamps will rise by 7p to 75p.
Royal Mail said the increases were needed to ensure the “one-price-goes-anywhere Universal Service remains sustainable”.
