Hi Amazon Community!
Not sure if I put this in the right category, so apologise in advance!
We are a company that sells Chinese Sausages. I've tried to list the product and was initially accepted to put listings on. I was then asked to provide an invoice:
'File name: Invoice
- Provide an invoice from a manufacturer, distributor, or your supplier reflecting the itemized list of goods purchased.'
We make the product from scratch, so we were confused about what invoice was being asked. Invoice for the ingredients? The packaging? Or an invoice from our end as a manufacturer? Who would we address the invoice to if we haven't sold any units? I asked these questions and then got a response effectively saying we couldn't list it:
'Thank you for your application to sell Grocery & Gourmet Foods products. We have reviewed the documentation and information that you provided and determined that you are not eligible to sell Grocery & Gourmet Foods products.'
We are a company that specialises in the production of a special kind of gourmet sausage that is cured (but needs to be cooked) called 'Lap Chong'.
Previous to this message, we were advised to submit side photos of the product which I had submitted, that has the address and company name/ logo on-but the request for an invoice has stumped me and now I can't submit anything as they haven't responded to my question about invoice and have disabled the attachment option (for files etc).
I have chased this for a few days via phone/ email and at the time was assured it would go through...but it hasn't. I've had this account open for about 2 months now and I don't know where to go from here as I am (we are) new to selling on Amazon and want to sell as soon as possible. I called again today and was advised that someone would get back to me, but I thought maybe someone on forums could help because this issue is dragging a bit longer than I/ we would like.
I am aware someone had a similar issue but it's not quite the same.
I can reference the case ID on here (or to someone from Amazon) if it helps further this case. Someone please help. We want to get this off the ground!
Best Regards,
Martin
