Hi,
I know this issue is very common among sellers and has been discussed a lot on the forum. But I still need some clarification because Amazon sometimes acts like it knows nothing—until it suddenly knows everything! 😅
I added a branded product to my inventory, and the product was successfully listed, and I sold few units in the last 1 months without any issues nor any complaints.
This product was not even gated by Amazon when I added it. I was able to list and sell it without any approval requirements, GTIN issues, or IP warnings
Now, out of nowhere, I got an IP violation complaint from Brand owner, & my account health is affected.Amazon is now asking me to submit an appeal.
My straight questions:
a) How can I know in advance if I need brand approval before listing a product?
b) If I want to take approval before adding, how do I find the brand owner's contact details?
Also, how should I respond to Amazon now?
I accept that these units were purchased outside the UK through an authorized distributor, but that does not mean they are duplicate or fake. Funny thing is, Amazon never asked at the time of listing whether the product was sourced from the UK or elsewhere, but now it suddenly matters.
I am looking for proper reply to amazon, kindly guide me...Thanks Bee
