Transitioning to Private Label:

I currently have a product listed under a generic brand on Amazon. I am interested in exploring the possibility of transitioning this product to a private label. Could you please provide information on the steps involved in this process and any requirements or guidelines I need to adhere to?

Inventory Replacement:

Additionally, I am considering creating a new listing for the same product under the private label. Is it feasible to replace the existing inventory of my generic product in Amazon's warehouse with the new inventory for the private label? If so, what steps should I follow to seamlessly manage this transition?

There are no steps since what you propose is not allowed. You'll need to create a new listing, which will be assigned a new ASIN.

No, that will not be feasible. You'll need to recall any inventory in FBA and relabel it, since it will have a new ASIN.

Michelle at Amazon here. I understand that you would like to change your generic item to your branded item. @Seller_LImVvUWeyiCfQhas provided you with some great information. You will need to create a new listing with the new brand, new UPC etc and then remove your inventory or sell through what you currently have under FBA. You will not be able to carry over your reviews or previous sales history to this new ASIN. The help page that they are referencing is here and you will need to scroll to the bottom under Rules for Editing Detail Pages.
