2024 and Amazon lists Puerto Rico as a separate country?

2024 and Amazon lists Puerto Rico as a separate country?

Why in 2024 and almost 2025 does Amazon insist that Puerto Rico is a separate country and cant send MCF orders to it? No export documentation is required.

This order contains the following items that are not eligible for export. Only media items (Books, Music, Videos, and DVDs) are eligible for export.

Lame amazon. Anyone can simply send anything to Puerto Rico through the post office or any other carrier.

If the Amazon programmers need help here are the USPS abbreviations for Domestic Shipping to Protectorates

AS – American Samoa.

FM – Federated States of Micronesia.

GU – Guam.

MH – Marshall Islands.

MP – Northern Mariana Islands.

PR – Puerto Rico.

PW – Palau.

VI – U.S. Virgin Islands.
