Best wishes for 2025 to every Amazon sellers!
I have been selling om Amazon UK for 16 years and now they ask me to verify my old bank account again. "No problem", I thought: "it's always the same bank".
I have opened a case, and they have sent me a link of instructions.
I visit Account info, click on banking, UK flag, they send me a message to my cell phone and ask me to approve it.
However my cell phone is a Nokia and the message is made for a smart phone, it's a link to Amazon UK.
I've tried to copy the link on my laptop, but I got a message of error.
I have contacted SS chat, but they just told me to approve it.
Thank you, but how? It's a Nokia, not a smart phone!
There must be a solution.
Any idea?
Guy

Hi,
I can't help out re the smartphone bit, but it looks as if you might need to get hold of a smartphone just for verification and swap the sim card (if possible, don't know if it is, as I'm not tech savvy, but luckily have a smartphone).
But just to warn you there's lots of threads on this verification happening over the Christmas break and it's not working - so even if you manage to confirm it, it's likely it's a waste of time via this method. (However, you still need to be able to access message sent to your cell phone for all of the below).
I did the original and it takes you to an 'unauthorised page' link. Someone else recommended updating the manage deposit method, did this - received an email in German confirming it was verified (and it was in this section) but the original verification page still said 'unverified' and after waiting the specified 24 hours, nothing was forthcoming.
I'd messaged SS with screenshots of it all and got a reply asking for a screenshot of one page I'd already screenshot and sent and still awaiting a reply from them as they've sent it to the technical team....
So, following all this happening to others, they then found that by putting the same bank account into 'add a new bank account' - it has worked for them and it finally shows as verified for me too (although I yet again, got an email in German saying it was verified - I only sell in the UK).
So although it shows as verified you have to wait 3 days because it goes straight into reserve. Someone else has confirmed this has worked for them after the 3 days (although the money hasn't come through, they have said that the email has been received to say it's been sent).
