IT VAT address mismatch - registered 12 yrs

Is anyone else having long standing VAT numbers showing as Verified - Pending Action with no performation notifications?

UK business, not changed address and VAT registered in Italy for 12 years and Amazon have stated they now verify VAT addresses to VIES. VIES shows as "SOGGETTO IDENTIFICATO MA NON RESIDENTE IN ITALIA" (Identified but not resident in Italy).

Seller Support telling us to replace the VAT number with the specific address of what appears to be a Gov VAT Office and go through re-verification. Has anyone else had this issue and did you do nothing or take a chance and go through VAT ID re-verification with all the risks associated?
