💪 Prime Day Prep: Bulking Up - Mastering Bulk Listing Management

Hi Sellers! Is the number of listings you are offering starting to get unmanageable? As your personal catalog grows, it is important you grow with it! This is where it becomes important to learn to manage offers in bulk!

If you are a Professional Seller, you can take the steps below:

Step One: Create your inventory file template

All Bulk Offers start with a file template. Once you have identified how you want to use your template (create new products, update price and quantity, update product details, etc.) you can generate a template.

Step Two: Build Your Inventory File

Once you have your relevant template, you’ve got to fill it out with all the important information on your products and offers. All templates have include data definitions to tell you what attributes are required and what each attribute represents. However, you can review the help page for details that apply to most Inventory Files.

Step Three: Upload your Inventory File

Once you have made your list, and checked it twice, you can proceed with uploading your file. Often your upload should complete without issues, however, if you run into difficulties, I recommend reviewing the help page section The detail page attributes aren't updating after I upload an inventory file spreadsheet. How do I get my changes to publish? and the Troubleshoot inventory file upload errors help page. Additionally, You can usually get a sense of what went wrong in an upload by seeing your Processing Report.

While it can seem like a lot of work, many sellers report that in the long run, it can make managing larger catalogs much easier. It will also save you time once you master these skills.

More Information for Your Prime Day Preparation:

Have you ever managed offers in bulk? Share your experience and what has made these tools work best for you!

If you have any general questions feel free to reach out via this thread. If you have more specific questions on your uploads or inventory files, please create a new discussion with your most recent Seller Support Case and Batch ID (the number generated when you complete an upload).

Thanks for your time everyone and have a great day!

Yes the new templates are IMPOSSIBLE to work with because they are now encoded so you cannot automate filling them out. So if you have hundreds of items, get ready to spend hours and hours cutting and pasting your fields into the 300+ column spreadsheet.

Prime Day season is always the worst time of the year for sales. Amazon breaks the system to shoe-horn in Prime Day. Essentially, you break the algorithm, customers stop buying normal products, receiving time goes through the roof, and it takes weeks for things to normalize again. Prime Day has just turned into a day for the Chinese to liquidate their junk.

How about instead of "improving" something that few few people have asked you to fix, you can work on the myriad of nightmares we all beg you address.
