Shipments being received in full but days later shows missing units
Seems to be a fairly recent issue (last few months) where pretty much every FBA S&L shipment is initially being received in full with all units marked as correct quantity. Days or even weeks later it adjusts and shows lower quantities. It seems to happen mostly on shipments that are transferred from one FC to another.
It is always lower and usually by just a few units but occasionally -50 or similar. Now our product is tiny and low cost so we don’t bother starting an investigation when it’s just a few units but have when it’s more. It’s not the biggest issue in the world but it’s getting quite annoying now and we know 100% we are sending the stated units as we print the correct amount of labels and count 3 times before sealing the bags.
Anyone else noticing this?

Same here. Anything from 2-3 units, some shipments >30.
Every single one.
And now they all are being transferred so out of 30-40 shipments there is not even one properly received.
I know I sent the stated quantity without doubt and I can accept it’s possible to lose 1-5 units as they are small. But they are always correctly received initially and only lost once in transfer.

Same for me. Mine are all low cost items too so I’ve not followed it up. always received with full amount then missing later. Usually around 3 to 4 % of the whole shipment. I know it’s correct as all the FNSKU labels are used.

Same here. Small and light shipments are always being received in full initially, and then some units go missing afterwards. We did not have this problem when SnL units were being received directly by the SnL centres, only now that they are being received through BHX4 and immediately transferred. Sometimes we get refunded for the missing units, other times the reconcile tab simply says “investigation completed- shipment contents counted and confirmed”.
We also print the correct amount of labels and double count everything before sending.

This has been happening more and more to my inventories. Can’t even start an investigation as reconcile tap showed “investigation completed” even before I raised a case. When I raised a case of missing inventories in seller support this will automatically be replied within seconds that “please refer to missing inventories tap”, and this goes round and round.
First case 24 units missing, second case 170 units missing, all to CWL1, and they are SNL items.
Amazon used to reimburse for missing inventories, but looks like they are trying to deter sellers from claiming by auto-closing all missing inventories cases…Selling on Amazon is getting very frustrated now.

Even though I am sure that I send the exact number of units on every occasion (as I only manufacture the right number!), over the years I have always had a discrepancy of one or two units in every batch that I’ve sent and I’ve just let it go as its typically <1% different. Last week however my box of 175 units that went into LBA4 had 84 received. I KNOW that there were 175 units because I counted them carefully and 175 units fills the box – 84 would have been rattling around like crazy!
My question is… do you folks ever see the total received jump up to nearer the correct quantity a week+ after Receiving is started, or after that sort of time is it a case of having to wait until the investigation eligibility date to get it looked at?

Thanks, interesting and useful. I guess I wouldn’t be so frustrated if:
- I wasn’t about to go out of stock, and yet…
- They are still using the 175 number to calculate my re-stock limit so I can’t send in any more!
