Invoice issue regarding getting approved
I’ve been selling an item for a few weeks, all of a sudden its become gated, so I applied to get approved, however amazon is not accepting my invoice, it has the quantity of 10, fate is in 2022 march, however its a invoice from a wholesaler called Gomples Ltd, ive been told invoices from a suppliers or manufacture only work, I’ve reapplied with a different invoice but is there any hope?

The invoice need to be from the manufacture or distributor.
Make sure invoice shows your company name, address etc and distributor invoice need to show company details including telephone number.
The amount listed on Amazon need to match amount shown on invoice.

Is that a different invoice for the same item ?

I suspect they won’t accept it til you’re registered as a business

I’m assuming that by Gomples, you mean gompels.co.uk?
If so, Amazon will never accept that invoice as they are a retailer.
It needs to be from a wholesaler/manufacturer/distributor. There are no other options here.
You should in actual fact, be selling whatever the item is, as Used Like new and not new.

Does every detail match, is there a Web address and phone number for the wholesaler on? Do the details for you match exactly? Is it a proper invoice not a pro forma one?
If its a business only wholesaler like amazon accept they will want to know why you’re not a business.

If your invoice just says Gompels Ltd then it won’t be acceptable because they’re not registered on companies house as a wholesaler

Plus if it’s anything heathcare related I doubt you can sell it used so you wouldn’t get ungated anyway til you’re a business

amazon only allow Baby goods to be sold as new - for obvious reasons
in order to sell anything on amazon as new, you must be registered as a business
now you have your UTR number however, amazon will require a copy of the confirmation letter that HMRC send you - and you won’t have that as you are not ‘currently’ residing in the UK
which brings the added potential issue of VAT
where are you shipping your goods from ? A prep centre or a family member ?
At some point, amazon will pick up on the fact that you are not currently living here
With regards to you initially being able to list the goods and then them being gated, that is quite normal recently
It used to be that they would do a random three asin check but now it seems to be a straighforward ‘gating’ of goods
Which is why all new sellers need to be 100% on their accounts before jumping in and sending 1000s of pounds worth of stock to FBA warehouses

I don’t understand why you’re all still persisting with this thread. I’ve just read from top to bottom and I already want to scream. The OP obviously is incapable of listening (or doesn’t want to listen) to what he’s being told. I mean, how many times does he need to ‘just get this clear’ about whether Amazon only accept invoices from wholesalers and manufacturers’?
He’s argued every single point that’s been made.

- If you are not in the UK, you NEED to register for VAT. Regardless of whether you’re at the threshold.
- You need your Amazon account to be changed to a business account.
- You need to buy from a wholesaler/distributor or a manufacturer.
- You would be well advised to seek letter of authorisation from the brands you wish to sell.
- Getting an invoice sorted or your account changed to business account WILL NOT get you ungated in the baby category as you need all the health and safety documents mentioned above.
- You DO NEED public liability insurance if selling ANYTHING to the public.
- You CANNOT skip legal requirements just because they don’t suit you.
