Amazon changing my ASIN every night (9/10+ a night) Deleting existing top ranked/rated products to ZERO rank

ASIN Changed by Amazon, Now Search SuppressedI keep encountering an issue where my listings show up as search suppressed due to a supposed "missing image." However, when I re-upload the exact same image, there are no violations, and the listing is reinstated, confirming that the images were fine all along.

After investigating, I noticed that Amazon has been changing my ASINs without any notification on ASIN change. This means my original listings, complete with images, reviews, and rankings, are being replaced by new ASINs quietly in the background, essentially resetting the product’s visibility.

My listings have strong 4/5 star reviews and a well-optimised. Now, I’ve discovered that Amazon has assigned it a completely new ASIN, marking the previous one as inactive. it’s an entirely new ASIN with original page, link, in customers basket, catalogue ranking completely gone down the drain.

Now my best-selling product suddenly stopped getting sales! This ongoing issue is seriously harming my business. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Amazon, please clarify why ASINs are being changed without seller consent and why listings are being suppressed but all original images are being added to new ASINs without issues.

I also have to add customisations again to all these new listings all over again as it's considering a brand new product.

This lack of transparency is making it extremely difficult to manage inventory and maintain sales. Looking forward to any insights or solutions...

I am now getting at least 10+ listings a day at around 3.15 am (UK time) for the past few days, upon attending business hours I see a surprise of 10+ plus notifications on daily basis every night.

As it seems they are killing all my best sellers on a daily basis, total suppressed 110+ listings, and thats 30% of my stock which is no longer selling due to amazon listing a completely new product deleting the original old ASIN with reviews, 5 star ratings, rankings.

It is consistent, I am sure early hours I am going to get another 10+ notifications ending my original listings for no reason..

I have contacted seller support numerous times and they have no clue.

Anyone with similar experience?

"Amazon, please clarify why ASINs are being changed"

Firstly, no-one from Amazon will see your post unless you tag in some forum mods, and this whole scenario doesn't really make sense to me as the ASINs are Amazon's own identifiers for products, created by Amazon themselves.

As I predicted, I woke up to more search-suppressed listings overnight. Once again, Amazon has assigned new ASINs to my products, asking me to re-upload images despite the fact that my original images were fully compliant. As a result, I’ve lost my original page ranking, ratings, and hard-earned 5-star reviews.

At this point, I strongly suspect this is tied to Amazon’s ad services. I had significantly reduced my ad budget because my 5-star products had gained strong organic rankings and were being suggested to customers naturally. However, after decreasing my ad spend, Amazon completely removed these listings and assigned new ASINs, forcing me to start from scratch. It feels as though this is a push to get me back into paying for ads just to regain the visibility my products already earned.

Is anyone else experiencing this? This process is seriously damaging my business, and I’d like to understand why it’s happening. Amazon, cannot clarify why established ASINs are being reassigned without notice, leading to suppressed listings and lost rankings as per custom support responses.

Looking forward to any insights or similar experiences.

Hi there @Seller_R26jZz8Hq8HjQ,

Have you checked if this might be related to duplicate detail page issues? There are some indicators that point to Amazon's duplicate detection system being involved:

  • The consistent timing (3:15 AM UK time) suggests automated system runs
  • The way different ASINs are appearing while old ones are deactivated
  • The fact that your images work fine when re-uploaded (suggesting content isn't the issue)

Typically, duplicate ASIN issues occur when:

  • Multiple sellers have created listings for the same product
  • Variation relationships aren't properly linked
  • There are conflicts in product identifiers (UPC, EAN, etc.)
  • Similar products have been listed multiple times

Would you mind checking if any of these common causes might apply to your listings? Let me know if you've already investigated any of these aspects.
