Bar Code Labels

Hi
Can I print the Amazon Bar Code Labels on normal paper and then stick them on my product with sellotape covering the whole label¿?
Thanks

In theory this should work, you just need to make sure the tape you use is not too shiny (Scotch tape is probably best although it’s not as clear as regular tape) and that it is applied perfectly flat. If you get a kink in it or a ripple, then it might make reading the barcode more problematic.

Out of curiosity, why don’t you want to use ‘normal’ labels? It’s not like they are extortionately priced.

On the same subject…

One thing I have found, when I printed normal Amazon return labels using my inkjet, the PO had trouble reading the barcode, but when I then switched to using a laser it scanned them without issue. I now never use an inkjet for anything that requires scanning.

buy some lable paper (I use 7x3=21 lables per a4 sheet), print to that.
why mess about with tape?
I’m assuming you are sending to FBA, and are printing lables for that - why else would you print and stick lables to products? (real question - what are you doing that needs lables)

No you can’t. Amazon expect labels to be ‘low tack’ so they can be removed by the customer.

+‘All Amazon barcodes must be printed in black ink on white, non-reflective labels with removable adhesive. Dimensions must be between 1” x 2" and 2” x 3" (1” x 3" or 2” x 2", for example).’+
