New Skus going into drafts and not creating in manage inventory

Hi All,

I’m trying to create new FBA offers for products which we already sell on seller fulfilled ASINs.

When I try to create a new FBA SKU for an ASIN which we already sell as ‘fulfilled by seller’, the new FBA listing doesn’t generate in our inventory and goes into the ‘complete your drafts’ section.

So I am taking the same ASIN which we sell on Seller fulfilled prime or standard shipping template, going to ‘add a product’ and creating a new SKU with for example ‘_FBA’ at the end of the old SKU. I add any harzardous products data (all the items i’m adding have no harmful chemicals or batteries so these are a quick no’) and then I go to list and send to FBA so I can add the prep and packaging information.

At this point it takes a few minutes to generate the new SKU into our inventory so after a few minutes I add the prep and packaging details, at which point it says ‘The SKU for this item is unknown or cannot be found.’

All of the SKUs I’ve tried to create are in drafts, which asks me for loads of information and images as if i’m creating a brand new listing, however I’m just trying to create a new SKU for a pre-existing ASIN in amazon’s catalogue.
When I do fill in the information, amazon asks if I’m trying to create an offer for ‘this’ product - and points me towards the ASIN which I originally tried to make an offer for, at which point the same thing happens and the new SKU ends up in the ‘Complete your drafts’ section again.

Is there anything i’m doing wrong or are any other sellers having trouble adding new SKUs to pre-existing ASINs?
even if we already have a listing amazon is sending the new SKU to drafts and prompting me to create it as if it were a brand new listing.

Any advice appreciated, many thanks.

Go to your inventory page and find the merchant fulfilled asin and on the right click the down arrow under edit and select ‘add another condition’
This will create a new sku that you can set as fba with only the sku, quantity and price required
