Trying to enforce Trademark infringement
I have a problem with another seller piggybacking on several of my products. I’ve emailed them twice and politely requested them to remove their offer to no avail. The brand name is registered with the IPO and enrolled in the Amazon brand registry.
However upon completing and submitting an infringement report to Amazon - including my valid trademark registration number from the IPO, I get this auto rejection
“You did not provide a (valid) Trademark registration number for your Trademark in your report. Trademarks must be validly registered, we do not enforce pending applications, or expired IP rights” Now I’ve tried to report this twice now, any idea what I might be doing wrong, or is the system broken?
Thanks

From the notice it sounds like Amazon had a difficulty verifying the validity of your trademark registration but is the trademark actually affixed to your products or their packaging? This is a common reason why infringement reports usually fail.
I would advise you to consider contacting a lawyer to help you assist with the matter, if you don’t get lucky with Amazon.

We were able to get a hijacker removed yesterday, we reported the violation directly through Brand registry, choose “Trademark infringement” and then “A product is counterfeit”. We included the below message.

It has come to our attention that seller “xxxx” is selling counterfeit items using our Trademark protected brand name.
Our trademark can be seen here: LINK TO TRADEMARK
Please remove the seller “xxxx”.
