New Product Listing of an existing product

Hi everyone,
I’m new to Amazon and I’m trying to create a new listing for an existing product. As I would not like to be linked to another existing listing.

Can I do that? I just see that you can only create a new listing if the product is not sold on Amazon.

I will really appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Maria

Not if it is identical in every way. Amazon work on a catalogue principal. (Although it’s hard to tell nowadays.)

Thanks. But if the existing listing is not good I don’t want to end up with the bad information and keywords.

So why there are so many products that are exactly the same and they have different listings?

The product listing for my product has wrong information in the description. On top they say one thing and on the bottom they say something different. I don’t want that on my listing.

Can I do something like creating a new listing for the same product but I can create a bundle with 2 and they are sold together? Is that a new product?

Thanks
Maria

If the item has an EAN attached already by the manufacturer then you should use that.
Admittedly some sellers have created their own listing by using there own EAN but you are breaking the rules if you do so and if you get caught out you could be suspended.
If you are want to create a bundle then yes it technically becomes a different product so you can use your own EAN. You will have to register with GS1 to get allocated your own set of EANs. Do NOT use any of the services that advertise cheap EAN codes. You will have problems.
