FBA inventory too much received
We sent 2 cases of 18 items each for a total of 36 items. The FBA invebntory somehow received 54 items. We phoned amazon and told them this was incorrect, they said it will be corrected when fully received and counted.
Then they started selling inventory they did not have. Then we received a warning to ensure we sent correct amounts as we had shipped 36 but they had received 54.
We opened a case and stated we definitely only sent 2 cases and only 18 items fitted in each case. We sent 36 and the miscount was their mistake. They sent a message saying we were not at fault and they had resolved it.
Our inventory is still incorrect. We have since sent in another 90 items but now none appear to be selling. We have had FBA orders pending for 5 days for stock they sold that did not exist at that time.
How can this be fixed?

Welcome to Amazon FBA misscounts are the norm, usually corrected down the line.
We get warning emails every month & ignore them.

Don’t worry, you are not the only one. Almost all of my FBA shipments are received incomplete, despite I know that the quantity which I sent was correct.
Having Amazon find more units in your FBA shipment than what you originally shipped is a lot better than if they were deemed missing and caused you a financial loss.
There isn’t a solution for this as it’s Amazon giving you the numbers and you can only request investigation, which is again handled and decided by them.
