Hi Everyone,
Can someone advise how they print off they sku labels.
Im constantly having printer jams, really sick of buying new printers. some printers I have had dont like the sticky labels x 4 - other printers dont like sticky labels x 24. Current printer less than 2 months old and constant jamming, 2 hours now and cant get to print off a sheet of 24 sticky sku labels - Jam in tay 1 everytime. Nothing blocked. And works perfect on labels x 4 or plain paper.
Printer is set to labels, fluffed up paper no end, changed the amount of sheets in the tray, turned off and on - just constant struggle printing sticky labels for sku's - uusally get it going in the end, but today, doesnt seem like i can stop the jam in tray 1 - took it all apart, nothing stuck in there.
Im using Brother HL-L3230CDW at the moment and just not reliable for printing sku labels ( my experience anyway )
Anyone recommend a printer they have no trouble with please ?
For reference, labels are being purchased from Kite packaging, used to use Bluestar packaging and had trouble with theres once they changed supplier.
Could it be the paper, does anyone have or had trouble with 24 sticky label paper from kite packaging ?
Any help, really appreciated as going out of my mind with printers. and sick to death of buying them...
Best regards Mike
We couldn't get ours to go through our office A4 Printer. The labels would just smudge and print awfully.
I think many use thermal label printers to be fair (its what we have moved to)
As above. Get a decent quality thermal printer and it will auto detect the label size you are using.
I use a Brother MFC-L8690CDW and FBA labels from Label4U (x27)
It's unlikely to be your printer. The labels really do have to be good quality.
I've not once had a problem with jammed labels.
We have 2 x Brother DCP multifunction laser printers and FBA labels from Labels4U (27 per sheet)
we have not once had a problem with jammed labels.
quality of labels is important.
thanks everyone, just purchased a trial of 100 sheets of 27 labels from labels4u - will let you all know how i get on
Used the cheapest epson printers, under £40, for 7 years now never jammed or produced smudged labels always 44 per sheet from ebay.
Its the paper your using, it might be too glossy / slippy for the brother to grip from the tray
Hi, I use a Dymo Labelwriter 450. I buy generic labels off of amazon or ebay and have had no problems at all with printing them off.
UPDATE - Thanks everyone for your input , Labels4U delivered yesterday - 1st page jammed , I was almost close to crying.
Every other page since as come off perfect. So im switching paper supplier :)
UPDATE - jamming again constantly with Labels4U 27 labels.
Ive bought a dehumidifier as humidty is probably causing these jams and we are in high 70's in this warehouse ( as been as high as 88 ) Dehuumidifer is next to printer and still jamming.
But normal paper and sticky label 4'are ok, but coming off a little crinkled.
Anyone had any experience with humidity and printers - is this what is defo causing the problem - if it is a new printer is not going to solve problem.
Headache as not been able to print any labels off all week. :(
