Delayed parcel

Hi all

I am a new seller,

We sell and dispatch our own products, buyers often buy multiple of the same products so we have our ads set up at x cost with one shipping cost no matter the quantity purchased, we advertise as shipped on a next working day service, with the snow etc we have had lately we had a delivery to northern Scotland delayed a couple of days due to the weather, customer requested a refund on shipping which we have done however did I have to refund this to stay with amazon claims rules? item was shipped on time with full tracking

can anyone advise on this I mean if we have 3 foot of snow all across the UK it could cost us a small fortune
