Does anyone know why an order would remain in Pending - Awaiting Payment Verification indefinitely?
I currently have 5 orders of multiple products in each order that are classified as pending, and the reason says that the "Pending" is due to "Awaiting Payment Verification." Although this sounds self explanatory, could someone help me understand if this is more complicated? I say this only because I am a new seller who is still waiting for their very first inventory shipments to be classified as "Closed.
My "Ship to Amazon FBA" is taking forever for a shipment that is so small, and now it is undergoing FC transfers to 8 different FC's for some reason??

Orders can stay in pending for payment authorization for up to 21 days. The buyer gets 3 chances at 7 days a clip to fix the issue, hence the 21 days.

It sounds like you are talking about FBA orders. If so, the reason given by Amazon is meaningless -- there are various reasons for Amazon delays, and they aren't going to share those with you.

Hi @Seller_WZbZKP6AgndUw,
As @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 mentioned, the "Pending" status usually means Amazon is still verifying the buyer’s payment method, which can sometimes take up to 21 days depending on the situation.
During this time, the order won’t appear in your regular reports and you won’t be able to ship or cancel it. Also, if an order has multiple items or is being transferred between fulfillment centers, that can cause additional delays.
For a detailed explanation, please check out this help page that covers Pending orders and what they mean.
Hope this helps clarify things! Ezra

If your items are still moving to FCs, then that is the reason that they are pending. Amazon will not charge the customer until the item is shipped (this is actual law). So until Amazon gets it where it needs to be so that they can ship to the customer, the item will remain pending.
Like many messages on Amazon, "Awaiting Verification" is a red herring.
